Membership Terms and Conditions – Gus Bomba BJJ Gym – Brazilian Top Team Australia
Membership Agreement:
By signing up for a membership with our Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu (BJJ) gym, you agree to abide by the terms and conditions outlined below.
Membership Benefits:
As a member, you are entitled to the following benefits:
- Unlimited training sessions per week.
- Access to all available BJJ classes and facilities during operating hours.
- Access to BJJ instructors and trainers.
- Use of gym equipment and amenities.
Membership Fees:
- The membership fees are charged on an ongoing basis.
- There are no joining fees or lock-in contracts.
- The fees will be automatically deducted from your chosen payment method on a regular basis.
- The membership fees are non-refundable and non-transferable.
Cancellation or Suspension:
- If you wish to cancel or suspend your membership, a minimum notice period of two weeks is required.
- Cancellation or suspension requests must be made in writing and delivered to the gym’s management.
- A $50 cancellation or suspension fee will be applied for each request.
- No refunds or credits will be provided for partial weeks/months in the case of cancellation or suspension.
Code of Conduct:
- All members are expected to adhere to the gym’s code of conduct and rules.
- Any misconduct or violation of the gym’s rules may result in the termination of membership without refund.
Personal Health and Liability:
- It is your responsibility to ensure that you are in good health and able to participate in physical activities.
- The gym will not be held liable for any injuries, accidents, or health conditions that may arise during your membership.
- It is recommended that you consult with a medical professional before starting any physical training program.
Changes to Terms and Conditions:
- The gym reserves the right to modify or amend these terms and conditions at any time.
- Members will be notified of any changes via email or displayed notices at the gym website.
Continued use of the gym facilities and services constitutes acceptance of the modified terms and conditions.
Termination of Membership:
- The gym reserves the right to terminate a member’s membership for any reason deemed necessary.
- In the event of termination, any prepaid fees will not be refunded.
By signing to our direct debit plan, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to the terms and conditions set forth in this agreement. You also affirm that you are in good health and capable of participating in physical activities.
Grandfathered Membership Fees:
- As long as your membership remains active and is not cancelled or suspended, your membership fees will be grandfathered.
- Grandfathered fees refer to the fees applicable at the time of your initial membership enrollment.
- Any interruptions in your membership, such as cancellations or suspensions, will result in your membership being subject to the current fees upon reactivation.
Annual Adjustment of Grandfathered Memberships:
- Grandfathered membership fees will be adjusted annually at the start of the new financial year.
- The adjustment will be made based on the Consumer Price Index (CPI) or any other relevant index as determined by the gym management.
- The purpose of the adjustment is to account for inflation and maintain the financial sustainability of the gym.
- Members will be notified in advance of any adjustments to their grandfathered membership fees.

At our Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu (BJJ) gym, we strive to create an inclusive environment that promotes the well-being and growth of all practitioners. To ensure a positive and respectful experience for everyone, we expect all members to adhere to the following code of conduct:
Inclusivity and Respect:
- Treat all fellow practitioners, instructors, and staff with respect and courtesy, regardless of their age, gender, race, ethnicity, sexual orientation, or skill level.
- Avoid any form of discrimination, harassment, or bullying.
- Embrace diversity and celebrate the different backgrounds and perspectives within our gym.
Personal Hygiene:
- Maintain proper personal hygiene at all times to minimize the risk of disease spread and create a clean training environment.
- Shower before each training session and ensure your gi (uniform) is clean and odor-free.
- Keep your nails trimmed short to prevent accidental scratching or injury to yourself or others.
- Wash your training gear regularly to maintain cleanliness and prevent the buildup of bacteria.
Health and Well-being:
- Prioritize your own health and well-being during training.
- If you have any pre-existing medical conditions, injuries, or concerns, inform your instructor or a staff member before participating in any activities.
- Listen to your body and train at a pace that is suitable for your current fitness level and skill progression.
- Stay hydrated and take necessary breaks when needed.
Safety and Sportsmanship:
- Always prioritize safety during training and follow the instructions and guidance of your instructors.
- Avoid reckless or overly aggressive behavior that could cause harm to yourself or others.
- Practice good sportsmanship by displaying humility, integrity, and fairness.
- Help and support your training partners, promoting a collaborative and positive training atmosphere.
Communication and Feedback:
- Engage in open and constructive communication with your instructors, fellow practitioners, and staff members.
- Provide feedback, suggestions, or concerns in a respectful manner to contribute to the continuous improvement of our gym.
- Be receptive to feedback from instructors and fellow practitioners, using it as an opportunity for growth and learning.
Compliance with Gym Policies and Rules:
- Familiarize yourself with and adhere to all gym policies, rules, and regulations.

Failure to comply with this code of conduct may result in disciplinary actions, including warnings, temporary suspension, or termination of membership.
